Master’s programmes at the Higher School of Economics received professional and public accreditation during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Professional and public accreditation of educational programmes can be conducted by employers and their associations, as well as by organizations authorized by them. Unlike state accreditation, which is required to issue standard form diplomas, professional and public accreditation is voluntary for universities. Each university decides for itself whether to seek such accreditation and which type of organization to receive it from. Accreditation of a programme means that potential employers are satisfied with the quality of its graduates.

Five Master's degree programmes at HSE were accredited by the Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance and Career Development together with the Association of Russian Managers. These programmes are Corporate Research, Development and Innovation Management, Project Management: Project Analysis, Human Resource Management, E-Business, and Media Management. Although they belong to different fields of study, all of these programmes in one way or another relate to management and business.

Another programme – Electronic Engineering – has been accredited by the RUSNANO Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programmes and the Russian Association for Engineering Education.
