Strengthening the Reciprocity with American Sociologists

The Higher School of Economics has won a second grant in the programme of collaboration between U.S. and Russian universities.

Two years ago the HSE received a grant for the development of a joint educational programme on global economy with the Stanford University, and now a similar grant has been approved for sociology with George Mason University.

The Russian part of the grant will be financed by the RF Ministry of Education and Science, and the U.S. share by the Higher Education Development Fund, U.S. Department of Education.

Since Sociology is one of the priority areas of our Development Programme, the HSE will be able to use these facilities to strengthen its strategic ties with American sociologists and to create a joint educational programme. The HSE plans to focus on a master's programme.

The grant implementation will be coordinated by the Faculty of Sociology and the Office of International Development for the HSE.
