Fashion Futures Project at HSE Art and Design School
From October 29 to November 6, the HSE Art and Design School is hosting Fashion Futures – a series of open meetings, lectures and workshops with international fashion designers. For the second year in a row, globally renowned speakers are coming to the School to share their experience and discuss some real cases, as well as communicating their ideas on the fashion industry and education. We welcome not only fashion students of the Art and Design School, but anyone interested in fashion and willing to learn from some of the leading lights in the fashion industry. Admission to the events is free, and advance registration is required. Most talks will be in English

October 29. Lecture by designer Iben Høj

Iben Høj is a Danish designer, textile artist and teacher. Høj’s works have been presented at the Unravel: Knitwear in Fashion exhibition in the Fashion Museum of Antwerp, and at the Fashion Week in Milan (2018). Iben Høj will speak on her work, projects in fashion and art, and about teaching design.

October 30. Public talk by shoe designer Kobi Levi
Supported by the Embassy of the State of Israel
Kobi Levi is a shoe designer from Israel, teacher and participant of numerous exhibitions. He will speak about his aesthetics, imagination, exhibitions and shows, and about teaching at Israeli design schools.

October 31. Public talk by fashion designer Anastasia Jansäter
Supported by the Embassy of Sweden
Anastasia Jansäter is a clothes designer. She will speak about her graduation collection Russian Soul, which was featured in the prestigious young designer competition, DesignNest, in Copenhagen and at Paris Fashion Week. The talk will be in Russian.

October 31. Public talk by designer Julie Skarland

Julie Skarland is a Norwegian designer, textile artist, and teacher. She will talk about her career in fashion.

November 6. Lecture by clothes designer Julia Maria Mӓnnisto

Julia Maria Mӓnnisto is a fashion designer, graduate of Central Saint Martins College (London, Great Britain), and semifinalist of LVMH, a young designer competition. She will talk about her approach to fashion design.
